Exceptional innings from Ragan Jain, strongly supported by the rest of the team, gives Wargrave a well earned victory over Reading United

In a thrilling encounter between Reading United CC - 4th XI and Wargrave CC - 4th XI at Hurst Cricket Club, Ragan Jain's truly exceptional unbeaten knock of 160 runs guided Wargrave to a resounding victory. The dynamic player's remarkable innings left the opposition in awe and ensured a commanding win for his team.

After winning the toss, Wargrave CC - 4th XI elected to bat first, setting the stage for an exhilarating contest. Tom Tabrah got the team off to a steady start, contributing 16 runs before being bowled by Venkata Dandu. However, it was Jain who emerged as the star of the innings, showcasing tremendous skill and determination.

Jain's innings was nothing short of a masterclass in strokeplay, as he displayed a wide range of shots with finesse and power. The elegant right-hander crafted a sublime innings, scoring an unbeaten 160 runs off just 108 deliveries. Their knock was adorned with 25 boundaries and two sixes, leaving the opposition bowlers helpless.

Supported by Guy Fergusson (32) and Achint Rajeev (39*), Jain anchored the innings, ensuring a formidable total on the board. Wargrave CC finished their innings with a commanding score of 276 runs for the loss of three wickets in their allotted 40 overs.

Reading United CC, in pursuit of the challenging target, faced an uphill battle against Wargrave's disciplined bowling attack. Hitessh Lingala was the standout performer with the ball, claiming four wickets for 37 runs. His accurate and incisive spell put the opposition batsmen under constant pressure.

Despite the daunting target, Sravan Ekambram of Reading United CC showcased great resilience with an unbeaten century.
