Colbourne leads the way

Wargrave 2nds completed a comfortable victory against NPL Tedding 2nds on Saturday.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first on a lovely wicket Wargrave amassed a big total of 272-6 dec from 47 overs. From the start Wargrave’s batsman scored freely but they also lost wickets at regular intervals. Woods 15 Rizmy 44 and Bowers 31 all got starts but they also managed to get themselves out with some poor shots. But sixth wicket partnership of 65 some from Dan Colbourne 84 & from Scott Walker 56 not out pushed the score along, Colbourne was eventually caught on the long off boundary and this left Walker to carry on the momentum. He did this with the help of Scott Morton 12 and Charlie Moss 5no as they managed to reach a final total of 272-6 declared from 47 overs.
NPL reply never got going as opening bowlers Scott Morton 4-27 and Charlie Moss 1-20 removed the top 5 batsman for 47 runs. Only Paraz showed any fight with a belligerent 30 but when Morton had trapped him LBW the rest of the batting fell away. Fifteen year old off spinner Andrew Hattey returning figures off 3-15 off of 6 overs as overs as he removed the lower order and with the help of a run out & a first league wicket for Jegan Srinivasan Teddington’s innings was all over for 82 in th2 29th over.
