After a confidence boosting friendly win against Boyne Hill on Sunday, the boys returned to The Rec and carried on their good form. Our 6th league game was against Kidmore End, and the boys made it 6 wins out of 6 to stay top of the league, with 3 games remaining.
The boys started the game in the field, and with lots of encouragement for each other, the wickets started to come. Josh (1), Joseph (1), Freddie (3), Jake (1), Thomas (1), Zander (1), Max (2) and Harry(2) collected the wickets, so our only wicketless player was Alec, and he took an excellent diving catch - so a real all round effort, and special mention to Harry for his first two wicket haul. Some good fielding and backing up restricted Kidmore End to 211 for 12.
The boys batted strongly, with 7 of the 9 getting into double figures, which is pretty good going when you're only out there for 4 overs as a pair. Zander lead the way with his 13 runs, alongside Jake's 12, meaning the boys were always in control, ending up with a total of 293 for 4.
Our remaining games in the league are likely to be a lot closer, but if the boys carry on doing the correct things, they've got every chance of keeping the winning run going.
