A comfortable win at Wokingham on Friday evening meant the u11s went in to Sundays game against Henley with their unbeaten league run intact. However, with Henley also boasting an unbeaten record, something had to give. Following probably the most complete performance from the boys all season, Wargrave came out on top.
The team was Joseph, Kieran, Zack, Zander, Sam W, Dylan, Alec, Angus, Freddie & Josh, and they all contributed excellently. I think it's best summed up by the fact we only gave away 3 wides in 20 overs of bowling, and then 9 of our 10 players scored double figures when batting. Having managed games for a couple of years now, I've not witnessed such a great all round performance with everyone making a real contribution. This resulted in a comfortable win in the end - Henley 235 for 11 / Wargrave 318 for 5.
One more win against Sonning next Sunday will ensure the league title comes to Wargrave!
Well played boys.
